Dr. Nick Ritzema
Grand Valley State University
Bachelor of Science,
Bio-Medical Sciences
University of Michigan
Dental School Graduate
I am a West Michigan native, having graduated from Rockford High School, and attended Grand Valley State University.
There, I played football for the Lakers on multiple National Championship teams as well as earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-medical Sciences. After attending dental school at the University of Michigan, I returned home to West Michigan.
My continuous dental education and clinical experiences have prepared me to help pioneer complete health and wellness, for all my patients, as well as utilize advanced techniques in modern dentistry. We here at Complete Health Dentistry, strive to treat our patients’ complete health. Proper oral health care has the ability to treat and/or prevent whole body diseases. Whether we are preventing cardiovascular disease or dementia, or we are treating an aspect of diabetes or decreasing the risk of a major heart attack or stroke, we treat everyone based on their individual health.
“Our goal is to provide the community with higher quality and standard of health care service and public awareness of the health connections linking the mouth with the body.”
When I am not enjoying dentistry and spending time with my patients, I am an avid family man and always an outdoorsman. Kristen and I have three daughters, Maddy, Grace, and Brooklyn, and two sons, Kyle and Reese. We live in the Grand Rapids area, and I am committed to being available to my patients and the community during all hours of the day, not just the hours that our office doors are open.
I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and playing golf with my family. Being raised within a very close-knit family, I have always imagined the perfect dental practice as an extension of my family. To me, my team members and patients are my brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Everyone deserves honesty and everyone deserves the highest quality modern medical care available, and that is what I strive to provide everyone who is a part of our dental family.
About Dr. DeBoer
I grew up in St. Joseph, Michigan and attended University of Detroit Mercy for both undergrad and dental school completing my degree in 2013. I worked as an associate in Muskegon for two years and another office in the Grand Rapids for the past six years. I married my high school sweetheart after dental school and we have lived in Grand Rapids for the last eight years. We have two boys (Tatum and Jayden) and enjoy camping, fishing, sports, and exploring all of the unique places West Michigan offers.
“My passion for dentistry has been shaped by my own need for some extensive dental work after an accident over a decade ago.”
Going through the process of being a patient myself and experiencing most aspects of dentistry, it has driven me to want to help others get through those same challenges. Seeing dentistry from a different perspective has allowed me to refine my compassion and empathy for each and every one of my patients. Becoming a part of Complete Health Dentistry has allowed me to transform my drive to help people and focus on not only their teeth, but their overall health. Knowing that there are so many ways that I can help improve my patient’s lives beyond their smile is a gift I strive to give to each patient I treat.

Dental School Graduate
I grew up in Bloomfield Hills Michigan and went to Albion college for undergraduate. There I received my degree in Biology with a minor in art and continued on to complete
my dental degree at the University of Detroit Mercy.
My interest in dentistry was sparked at a young age by my dentist growing up. I loved going to the dentist as a kid and would even try to get cavities so I could go more often. Later on, I realized that the comfort the practitioner brought to me as a patient is what made the trip every time something to be looked forward to.
“Going to the dentist shouldn’t instill fear and anxiety in anybody, and I hope I am able to make patients feel at home and as comfortable as possible while in the dental chair.”
Being able to practice in an office like this one with modern and up to date technology and a team that truly cares about the patients’ health and each other, is something I feel so fortunate to be able to be a part of. In joining Complete Health Dentistry, I hope to continue to educate patients on the importance of their oral health and how a healthy mouth can lead to a healthier life, while giving them confidence day to day through the work I do.
Outside of practicing dentistry, I enjoy drawing,
watching movies, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
